InvisiFence Plus
Unmatched Reliability, Invisible Fence
Fully Digital Buried Seismic Sensor Cable
The first and only fully digital buried seismic system for perimeter security. InvisiFence Plus creates an invisible fence around your property, one that's impossible to dig under or jump over without being detected.
“One Buried Cable. A Fence Nothing Gets Past.”
A single sensor cable, buried along your perimeter, detects footsteps, digging, or vehicle movement the instant a threat crosses the line and passes the alert straight to your alarm system or VMS. No cameras to point, no fence to see, no gap for an intruder to find.
From Buried Cable to Verified Alert
How InvisiFence Plus's distributed sensor cable and HUB Unit detect and report intrusions along your entire perimeter.
Sensors
InvisiFence Plus combines a buried sensor cable with a HUB Unit. The sensor cable is buried roughly 40cm below the ground along your perimeter, with up to 38 smart seismic sensors connected per string.
Analysis
Each sensor includes its own DSP processor, running adaptive self-learning algorithms with an exceptionally high recognition level for diverse threats, locally, in real time, with no central bottleneck.
Detection
Upon detection, the system distinguishes between threat types above or below ground: footsteps, moving vehicles, digging, and more, so alerts arrive already classified.
Alert
An alarm is triggered at the HUB Unit and passed on, via dry contact to your existing alarm system, or over TCP/IP to CCS-OnSite or your VMS.
System Components
InvisiFence Plus is composed of a sensor cable with smart seismic sensors and a HUB Unit, with fully distributed sensing and processing.
Sensor Cable
A line of up to 38 smart seismic sensors, supplied at the length your site needs. Each sensor includes its own DSP chip that analyzes seismic signal locally, making InvisiFence Plus a fully digitally distributed sensor system. The cable includes 4 wires for DC power and an RS485 communication bus.
HUB Unit
A HUB Unit sits on each section of the system. Single-sided HUB Units control a sensor cable line of up to 38 sensors; double-sided units control 2 lines of 38 sensors each, so larger perimeters scale without adding HUB hardware one-for-one.
Suitable For Any Perimeter

Why Underground Seismic Outperforms the Alternatives
Three technologies dominate perimeter protection today: underground seismic detection, fence-mounted sensors, and infrared (IR) beams. Here's how they compare.
| Criteria | Underground Seismic Detection | Fence-Mounted Sensors | IR Beams |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visibility to intruders | Fully concealed, no visible hardware | Visible on the fence line | Visible posts and beam path |
| Requires an existing fence | No | Yes | No, but needs clear line of sight |
| Weather resistance | Unaffected by rain, wind, or fog | Sensitive to wind-driven fence vibration | Degraded by fog, heavy rain, or snow |
| False alarm sources | Minimal, filtered by adaptive algorithms | Wind, animals, debris hitting the fence | Birds, foliage, dust, and beam misalignment |
| Terrain adaptability | Works across open ground, slopes, and vegetation | Limited to the fence line itself | Requires straight, unobstructed sightlines |
| Defeat resistance | No wires to cut or panels to bypass | Can be bridged or climbed between sensors | Can potentially be crawled under or jumped over |
| Maintenance | Low, buried and self-contained | Moderate, tied to fence condition | Moderate, requires beam alignment checks |
Underground seismic detection is the only one of the three that requires no visible hardware and no existing fence to protect a perimeter. Read the full comparison →

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about InvisiFence Plus? Browse through our frequently asked questions to learn more about coverage, installation, weather resistance, and integration.
What is the coverage of the InvisiFence Plus virtual fence?
InvisiFence Plus creates a continuous virtual fence 6m (19.6ft) wide by 25m (82ft) deep along the buried sensor cable run, with up to 38 sensors connected per string over an RS485 bus. Each sensor is IP68 rated to MIL-STD-810G and operates from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F), so the fence performs identically in desert heat, arctic cold, rain, or snow without recalibration. Power draw is low, around 15mW per sensor at 12V, which keeps long cable runs simple to power. Multiple Sensor Cable strings can be combined end-to-end, so InvisiFence Plus can secure anything from a single residential fence line to a multi-kilometer border, all without visible fencing or gaps an intruder can find and cross undetected.
How hard is it to install InvisiFence Plus? Do I need specific training?
InvisiFence Plus is designed to be straightforward to install. The system is supplied pre-configured and labeled according to your site's dimensions and layout, so a local integrator can lay and connect the cable without guesswork. SensoGuard also runs a remote training session, typically 1-2 hours, covering every aspect of installation, and once installed the sensor cable and HUB Unit require no ongoing maintenance.
Are there false alarms from nearby fences or metal objects?
No. InvisiFence Plus is not influenced by nearby fences or other metal objects, unlike buried coax-based systems that can pick up interference from nearby metalwork. Combined with the sensor cable's adaptive self-learning algorithms, which are tuned to recognize footsteps, digging, and vehicle signatures specifically, this keeps false alarms low without requiring a minimum clearance distance from existing fencing.
Does weather affect detection?
No, InvisiFence Plus is engineered for unattended, all-weather operation. Every sensor is IP68 rated to MIL-STD-810G and operates from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F), so rain, wind, fog, snow, and extreme heat or cold don't affect detection. Because the sensors are fully buried rather than relying on a visible fence line or line-of-sight beam, InvisiFence Plus avoids the false-alarm sources that hurt fence-mounted and IR-beam systems most: wind-driven vibration, blowing debris, fog, and beam misalignment.
How is InvisiFence Plus protected from tampering or vandalism?
Every InvisiFence Plus sensor is fully buried underground, so there's no visible enclosure, junction box, or cable run above grade for an intruder to locate, cut, or bypass before the system has already detected them. Unlike fence-mounted sensors, which can be bridged or climbed between individual units, or IR beams, which can potentially be crawled under or jumped over, InvisiFence Plus has no exposed wires to cut and no surface panels to defeat. Because detection happens from concealed underground sensors, an intruder typically can't identify the system, let alone disable it, before triggering an alarm.
Can InvisiFence Plus connect to my existing alarm system or VMS?
Yes. The HUB Unit offers dry contact outputs (18 dry contacts) that connect directly to any existing alarm panel, so alerts are received through the system you already run. For sites without an existing alarm system, the HUB Unit's TCP/IP output pairs with SensoGuard's CCS-OnSite Command & Control software, which has built-in integration with leading VMS platforms including IDIS, NX Witness, Milestone, FLIR, Digifort, Axis, and mPrest, plus an open alarm API protocol for custom integrations.
Does InvisiFence Plus need main power, or does it run on batteries?
InvisiFence Plus operates from an external 12V DC power supply (9-20VDC) at the HUB Unit, or from a solar power system where mains power isn't available on site. Because each sensor draws only around 15mW at 12V, power requirements for the buried cable itself stay low even on long runs; the HUB Unit is the single point that needs a stable power connection.
Can I change the sensitivity or configuration after installation?
Yes. Sensitivity and configuration can be changed at any time after installation, on any individual sensor or across the whole line, without re-digging the cable. All settings, including per-sensor sensitivity adjustment, are controlled from the HUB Unit, so a site can be re-tuned as conditions change (new vegetation, nearby construction, a change in what the site needs to detect) without a truck roll to physically access buried hardware.
